“Sanctuary” is a compelling collection of over 25 new works exploring the intersection of the natural world and spiritual growth from well known Dublin artist Cormac Dennis. Through a combination of oil paintings and drawings in pastel, charcoal, and conté, the artist documents a personal journey along the coastal areas of North County Dublin.  

 

The exhibition captures the artist’s deep connection to the sea, presenting the coast not just as a landscape, but as a place of refuge. “Sanctuary” moves fluidly between the raw energy of plein air sketches and the contemplative of depth of studio practice.  Cormac focuses on the intricacies of ever-changing light, using the isolation and solitude of the shoreline to reflect an inner state of peace.

This exhibition will be on show in our Easter Snow Gallery from Monday 23rd February - 31st March 2026, open daily from 10:00am-4.00 p.m.

The official opening of this exhibition will take place on Thursday, 26th February from 7.00 p.m.-9.00 p.m.  with guest speaker David Newton and a ten minute live dynamic visualisation sketch by the artist Cormac Dennis.
