CELEBRATING 25 years of TSEAC
For twenty‑five years, The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre has stood not just as a building, but as a living spirit at the heart of our community. Born from humble beginnings and opening its doors as an arts centre in 2001, TSEAC has grown into a vibrant, beating heart of creativity, one that has welcomed artists from every corner of the arts.
Within its warm, intimate spaces, audiences have experienced everything from the quiet magic of Paul Brady to the electrifying energy of Aslan and The Stunning; from the striking visions of Margo Banks and James English to the unforgettable comedic brilliance of Des Bishop, Emma Doran, and Joanne McNally. Theatre, exhibitions, monthly sessions, storytelling, young musicians, emerging artists - TSEAC has embraced it all with open arms.
Our centre may be small, but it is mighty and, it’s alive with a presence that draws people in, wraps them in the moment, and makes them feel part of the story unfolding. This unique TSEAC spirit is inspired by our namesake, Séamus Ennis, whose dedication to collecting and preserving the songs and stories of Ireland ensured that our cultural treasures were never lost to time. His legacy breathes through everything we do, guiding us as we support new voices, celebrate established ones, and safeguard the traditions that shape us.
The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre is so much more than a theatre, a gallery, or a place to see a show. It is a companion, a storyteller, a guardian of culture, a place where art comes alive and everyone who steps inside becomes part of its ever‑growing tale.
For twenty‑five years, TSEAC hasn’t just hosted the arts. It has lived them, and we look forward to continuing this journey, growing, evolving, and celebrating creativity with our community for many more amazing years to come.
