Get ready for an unforgettable evening of culture and creativity at The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre on 20th September!
This year’s Culture Night promises to be a vibrant celebration, kicking off at 6pm with our ever-popular Pop-Up Gaeltacht. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Irish language in a relaxed and informal setting, perfect for both beginners and fluent speakers alike.
At 8pm, the excitement continues as we welcome renowned music journalist John Robb to the TSEAC stage. John will be interviewing Niall McGuirk, a founding member of the iconic Dublin gig collective, the ‘Hope Collective’. This group was instrumental in organizing DIY gigs in Dublin during the 80s and 90s, hosting legendary bands such as Fugazi, Green Day, NOFX, NomeansNo, Chumbawamba, The Membranes, and many more.
Don’t miss this rare and insightful journey into the world of music, offering a unique glimpse into the vibrant DIY gig scene that shaped Dublin’s musical landscape.
All Culture Night events are free to attend, but seats are extremely limited, so booking is essential. Join us for an evening of cultural enrichment and musical nostalgia – it’s an experience not to be missed!
