We are delighted to have Daniel Chester exhibit in our Easter Snow Gallery.   Daniel is a visual artist living in County Leitrim.  He obtained a masters in visual arts practices from IADT in 2009.  He has exhibited throughout Ireland and abroad.

 His exhibition “Bog to Bloom” is a body of paintings that are inspired by the landscapes of rural Leitrim, Fermanagh, Sligo and Donegal.  The artist invites viewers into these spaces to engage with the works.  The artist is highly influenced by the ecology of these wetlands and how they are vital carbon sinks and biodiversity hotspots, yet, these places are often undervalued and threatened.  Bog to Bloom consists of numerous paintings that focus on the world of peat, rushes, wildflowers and water.  Over the seasons these places become cradles for unexpected colours and life.  Part natural history, part mediational.  The artist aims to evoke a ethereal element within his paintings.

This exhibition will be on show in our Easter Snow Gallery from Thursday 2nd April - 31st May 2026, open daily from 10:00am-4.00 p.m.

The official opening of this exhibition will take place on Sunday 19th April from 3.00 p.m - 5.00 p.m.
