Shadow Puppetry Workshops and Small Performances

We are delighted to have Flight of Fancy Shadows here to give a workshop as part of Cruinniú.   Crúinniu is a national day of free creativity for children and young people under 19. 

The Flight of Fancy Shadows are a shadow puppetry troop based in Dublin that love telling Irish folktales through shadow puppetry. In this two hour workshop see the behind the scenes that can make magical tales come alive. Marie Denham and Margot Jones experienced puppeteers of over 15 years, will teach the kids how to create their own puppets, the importance of movement, story and voices.  Stories will be based on local stories in the duachas archive.    At the end of the workshop, the children will get to perform in front of their friends and family  to highlight the new skills and puppets that they have created.   The performance will be accompanied by live music  with traditional…
