About the event
We are delighted to have Cliste facilitate a Bodhrán making workshop in our outdoor covered courtyard as part of Crúinniú. Cruinniú is a national day of free creativity for children and young people under 19.
In this workshop, participants will construct and complete a bodhrán entirely from scratch while engaging with Irish Culture and music. All materials provided. This workshop is broken down as follows.
· Build from raw materials: Each participant would receive a frame, goatskin, crossbars and tacks and would be guided step by step to create a fully functional bodhrán.
· Personalise your instrument: Once completed, they will get to personalise their instrument by decorating their bodhrán with a design of their choice. Please feel free to bring your own markers, pencils etc.
