3D Embroidery with Uisce
Postponed due to Covid-19 Restrictions. Box Office will be in touch with all participants in due course. Thank you for your understanding.

This workshop is designed for beginners and those who have some experience with needle work.

Over the 5-hour workshop you will learn several 3D stitches and how to compose them on a fabric with printed designs.

You will be given detailed guidance on how to print a photograph on a piece of fabric in an inkjet printer and then choose from two different designs printed on fabric to work on.

We will work out embroidery in 3D stitches, starting with simpler ones: French knot, bullion stitch, spider web… then we progress into more complicated ones: cast on stitch, woven picot.

You will work out your embroidery with colourful pearl cotton thread and with metallic threads of your choice.

All materials for the workshop are included and the tools will be provided for the duration of the workshop. Each participant will also receive a helpful handout.

Places are extremely limited, please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

The tutor: Agnieszka ‘Uisce’ Jakubczyk, is an embroiderer and award winning weaver. She combines embroidery and weaving with other needle crafts to create unique art pieces. She has wide knowledge in many disciplines of textile art which she shares generously with her students.

From 10:30am to 4:30 (with a 1 hour break for lunch)

Suitable for adults & teenagers ages 16+
