The Slocan Ramblers
The Slocan Ramblers have become widely regarded as one of the premier bluegrass bands touring in North America. Although Toronto-based, they long ago gate-crashed the US circuit with barnstorming shows that won them subsequent appearances at some of the country’s major festivals.

Uniquely placed to be able to keep traditionalists impressed while also gathering a hip young crowd of followers around them, the ‘live’ shows are entertaining affairs that showcase melodic panache and a playing ability and style that is second to none.

Their 2016-issued album, Coffee Creek, made a huge impact too, winning them a Best Album nomination in the prestigious Canadian Folk Music Awards - and rave reviews from the media on this side of the Atlantic too.

Songlines magazine said they were “freshly minted.”

fRoots called them “simply outstanding”.

R2 magazine said: “Bluegrass hardly defines it –it’s scintillating.”

Country Music People said the playing was “dazzling – phenomenal!”
