VOLVER

Volver
Volver
Join us for a night of Spanish food and cinema with our Cottage Café serving up some classic Spanish dishes and wine ahead of Pedro Almodóvar’s modern, classic, comedy-drama, Volver.

General admission is not inclusive of food; please book the pre-event supper (€15) with your tickets if you wish to take part in the food event at 7:30pm

Set in Madrid and its lively working-class neighbourhoods, immigrants from the various Spanish provinces share dreams, lives and fortune. At the heart of this social framework, three generations of women survive wind, fire and even death, thanks to goodness, audacity and a limitless vitality.
Penelope Cruz plays Raimunda, a working-class woman forced to go to great lengths to protect her 14-year-old daughter Paula. To top off the family crisis, her mother Irene comes back from the dead to tie up loose ends!
The film features Almodóvar’s usual wonderful mix of absurdity, rich emotions, strong women, terrific laughs, and wonderful acting.
Highly recommended!
