“Paul Newman, Robert Redford, and director George Roy Hill prove that charm, humour, and a few slick twists can add up to a great film.”

Following the murder of a mutual friend, aspiring con man Johnny Hooker (Robert Redford) teams up with old pro Henry Gondorff (Paul Newman) to take revenge on the ruthless crime boss responsible, Doyle Lonnegan (Robert Shaw).

Hooker and Gondorff set about implementing an elaborate scheme, one so crafty that Lonnegan won't even know he's been swindled! As their big con unfolds, however, things don't go according to plan, requiring some last-minute improvisation by the undaunted duo!

Here at TSEAC we are celebrating 30 years since the release of ‘The Sting’ by embracing a bygone era of prohibition, gangsters, and con men at our outdoor screening of this award-winning classic!

Fancy Dress is HIGHLY encouraged so dust off those pinstripe suits, don those two-tone shoes and sparkle in your brightest sequins as we embrace our inner bootlegger transporting you back to 1930’s Chicago in this themed cinema event!

This unique evening of entertainment is full of speakeasy glamour with themed cocktails and food available to enjoy as you sit back and enjoy the show. After the movie, the party is in full swing as we dance the night away in true 1930's style in our post screening party with music of the era.
