Are you a natural storyteller? Got the gift of the gab? Tales Under the Thatch is a Creative Ireland and Fingal County Council funded project that aims to give older adults aged 65 and over the opportunity to engage creatively, expand their social circle and tap into a new hobby or skill.

This programme will take place in the cosy environs of The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre’s parlour over the course of 4 weeks. You will work with a drama facilitator to draw on your creativity, tap the well of stories inside, and to ultimately craft your story into a short storytelling performance.

The programme will also introduce participants to a professional storyteller, who will demonstrate the methods she invokes in her own work, helping to inspire and motivate the group!
