Tai Chi & Qigong have their roots and origins in China dating ack thousand of years and they now form a branch of Chinese Medicine. Tai Chi sometimes called 'Shadow Boxing' is a Chinese martial arts practice that at the start of the 20th Century developed into a Health Practice as well.
Alan Dunne been a Tai Chi & Qigong Instructor since 2018 and has a passion for sharing the Health Benefits contained within a regular practice.
Qigong is a system of movement incorporating body postures, breathing & meditation and can be done either standing or seated.
In this workshop with Alan we will learn a Short Tai Chi Form that honours both the Martial & Health benefits of Tai Chi and a short Wudang Qugong Form. Wudang is a mountain region in the Hubei province in China, home to a unique style of Quigong. The workshop will finish with a relaxing exercise listening to a Tao Inspiration Meditation.
