Enjoy good company, old traditions, a new season and homemade apple cake as we celebrate our culture and welcome Spring 2024.

 

In this relaxed and enjoyable workshop we will celebrate all things Brigid . 

 

The lighting of a candle at the start of the workshop will symbolise longer brighter days ahead.

 

Using a bundle of rushes, you will learn how to weave various styles of Brigid’s Crosses.  

​

You will step through Brigid's Girdle while having thoughts for protection in the year ahead.

Take home a plant as a symbol of growth, renewal and Spring.

​

Share your memories of Brigid’s Day traditions as you savour homemade Apple Cake, as was traditionally baked throughout rural Ireland to mark this feast day.

Please note that some parts of this workshop will take place Outdoors. Please wear warm clothing.
