Wire Guild Jewellery
In this one day workshop Rachel will teach you how to make a pendant, five rings, earrings and a bracelet using the skills of wire guild. The pendant will involve wire wrapping and weaving and will hold a gemstone. You will be using copper wire and labradorite stones. After the pendants are created the facilitator will demonstrate how to antique the pendant using Sliver of Sulphur. The facilitator will also have appropriate copper chains that you can purchase if you wish to show off your beautiful pendant. You will make at least five rings with copper wire, and once everyone is comfortable with the skills involved you will be supplied with sufficient solid sterling wire to create one ring in precious metal. You will also make two pairs of stud earrings one practice pair in copper and then one pair of sterling silver earrings, there will be a selection of beads to choose from and finally, you will make a bracelet made from copper and silver.
