Con ‘Fada’ Ó Drisceoil is a songwriter and accordion player from Skibbereen, West Cork. With Johnny McCarthy and Pat Ahern he is a member of The Four Star Trio, a mature boy-band. Con has written and published comic songs on subjects which include canine castration, Shakespearean tragedy, unwelcome percussionists, hair loss, and the wildlife of Clare. In 2009 he received the Composer’s Award at Gradam Ceoil TG4.

Kevin Glackin’s family name is synonymous with fiddle playing. His father Tom came from Donegal and the style associated with this region is strongly evident in Kevin’s playing. He has toured extensively, appeared on numerous albums, television & radio programmes, teaches undergraduates in Dublin’s Institute of Technology, and regularly features at the ‘Willie Clancy Summer School’ and at the Glencolmcille ‘Fiddlers Week’.

Besotted since childhood with the music of the old masters, Ronan Browne began piping in 1972. Having worked on nearly 200 albums and toured the world over many times, he now leads a gentler life in Conamara and doesn’t get out of bed for less than a tenner. One of his favourite, though rare, diversions is playing tight-formation music with Kevin.
