Maria Butterly is thrilled to launch her brand new single titled ‘HERO’.
‘HERO’ is a story of a young teen being called names in school, who dreams up a fictional hero character that represents the inner strength within us all, which allows us to confront and overcome the challenges presented to us whether internal or external. And addresses anti-social behaviour, bullying, and the challenges young students can be faced with in their world!
Maria’s original compositions have been featured on many TV & Radio programs i.e RTE, Virgin Media One, TG4 & SKY including live performances & interviews on Nationwide, Ireland AM, Seoige & O’Shea, Glor Tire. A Renowned Vocalist & Multi-Instrumentalist, Maria has won several Awards for her original works and most recent album of original works ‘Blue Mandolin’, produced by Bill Shanley. A recent graduate from Pulse & Griffith College in Audio & Sound Technology & Music Producing for Games, Maria has expanded her compositional skills composing instrumentals & songs commercially for FILM & TV specialising in Games.
As a touring recording artist, Maria has performed nationally and internationally in New York, Nashville & California where she resided for over two decades performing at hit venues such as Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe, The House of Blues (LA), NY’s world famous Mercury Lounge playing alongside Bob Wooten (Johnny Cash’s Band), Raul Malo (The Mavericks), Hal Ketchum, Hot House Flowers, Damien Rice, Eleanor McEvoy & Nathan Carter.
She headlined the ‘Angelica Huston Gala Event‘ at Beverly Hilton, Los Angeles & was awarded “Best Celtic Sound’ from the ‘NY International Film & Music Festival’. She has made several guest performances in the National Concert Hall & Cork Opera House which included YouTube sensation Fr. Ray Kelly. She performed her -self penned song ‘Quiet Man’ to Hollywood Star MAUREEN O’HARA on her 90th Birthday.
