Four Irish comedians return to the stage after 18 months of lockdown and it’s all happening at the Séamus Ennis Arts Centre!
Ardal O Hanlon
Ardal O’Hanlon is an award-winning standup comedian, writer and actor who needs no introduction. He is best known for his recent role in “Death in Paradise” and the sitcoms “My Hero” and the much-loved “Father Ted”. Ardal is one of the founders of the Comedy Cellar in Dublin which established the Irish comedy scene.
Since starting the Comedy Cellar in 1988 Barry has performed all over the world. He had a starring role in Apres Match. He was recognised as one of The 10 Kings Of Irish Comedy over the last twenty years by Hot Press. He was the writer and star of the IFTA nominated “Irish Pictorial Weekly”. He is the only comedian to have performed at every Kilkenny Cat Laughs festival since 1995.
Julie Jay is a comic who has taken the comedy world by storm in recent months and already has many impressive accolades under her belt, including winning the Forbidden Fruit Comedy Search 2017. She was resident support act for Tommy Tiernan on his Paddy Crazy Horse Tour and most recently has MCed the 2019 series of the Tommy Tiernan
Gearóid is a comedian and writer from Dublin. He has a cat called Boots who rules his life with an iron paw. He has appeared numerous times at the Edinburgh fringe and at festivals all around Irelandand further afield. He recently appeared on “Clear History” for RTE2 and is host of the podcast “Fascinated” where he tracks down his childhood heroes.
