Herb Growing
Learn how to design, plant and maintain your own herb garden.

Herbs have been used for food and healing, by all cultures, for thousands of years. This workshop will teach you how to design, plant and maintain your own herb garden, from a small container herb collection to a large decorative herb garden. It will also teach you how to propagate your own plants from seeds and cuttings.

The following topics will be covered.

* Planning and design concepts
* Site preparation
* Planting plan
* Herb growing principles
* Plant care and maintenance
* Propagation – seeds, division, stem and root cuttings
* Container growing
* Harvesting and preserving
* Herb identification and uses

The workshop will include a practical demonstration on propagation, where everyone will get a chance to sow seeds and prepare cuttings to take home.
You will also learn a method of creating a substantial herb garden in just a few hours, without involving any digging or weeding!

Places are limited so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
